Meet Greg & Stefanie, Owners of Crucial Coffee
Crucial Coffee Cafe was founded by Greg’s mom, the late Wendy Relph, a beautiful, artistic South African woman, who landed in St. Augustine more than 20 years ago after traveling around the world. After Wendy passed away, we stepped in to carry on her legacy at Crucial Coffee Cafe and its sister restaurant next door, The Gourmet Hut.
Crucial Coffee is located in historic St. Augustine on the corner of Charlotte St. and Cuna St., just across from the St. Augustine Bayfront and the Castillo de San Marcos, in what was the old Blacksmith’s Shop, a reconstruction of an outbuilding located on the site during the British possession of Florida. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests!
We are working to continue Wendy’s standard of excellence. In our coffee shop, you will find the best quality of beans from Costa Rica and Columbia. The coffee and espresso is brewed fresh daily. And we offer a full menu of specialty coffees – every drink that you would expect to find in the best European cafes can be found at Crucial Coffee Cafe. We also sell freshly brewed loose leaf teas from around the world, fruit smoothies, organic baked goods, and ice cream.
Greg McMillan is a beloved caddie on the PGA Tour and the PGA Champions Tour for more than 25 years. And Stefanie Stark has been a nonprofit executive and a consultant for hundreds of national and international charities. Together with our 5 children, we are embracing this new chapter as owner-operators of two family businesses, Crucial Coffee Cafe and The Gourmet Hut.
